background

hi,

i’m just a Computer Science student @ George Mason University documenting my journey through all things computing.

i’m currently into systems and web security, doing a bunch of development in C, Python, and x86_64. My ultimate goal is to work on complex TECHNICAL compute security issues at scale.

this blog is where i will share what i’m learning, building, and exploring. i’m always open to collaborating with research labs, startups, and open source projects working on cool engineering stuff. just ping me :) don’t click.

tl;dr hacking at computers, yup hacking (ctrl/cmd “hacker”), not “HaCkiNG”.

what is computer security ?

computers run software and firmware. bad or insecure code can be used to do harmful things.

firm believer in the philosophy that “security engineering” is software engineering Google.

^ this means that I will primarily focus on analyzing security from the early development stages, while also building software that allows compute security “defense” to be efficient/proactive.

tl;dr writing bits and bytes to prevent other bits and bytes from being “exploited”.

instructions in the queue (upcoming posts)

  • reverse engineering microsoft office file formats (OLE, OpenXML, RTF).
